Edward Warinner’s football career is about to take him to the place where his parents’ story began. Warinner’s father, Ed, was a Michigan State defensive assistant coach under George Perles from 1985-86, the second of his 10 coaching stops in a three-decade career. His mother, Mary Beth, was a Michigan State alum who worked in the football office at the time. The two met, and the rest is history.
