Blaise Salter, Bill Freehan’s grandson, destined for Tigers organization
By all accounts, Blaise Salter was destined to be in the Detroit Tigers organization. The 23-year-old second-year pro with the West Michigan Whitecaps has the background, pedigree and a little bit of luck on his side to be a part of a team he grew up rooting for. “It was really a blessing I got drafted by the Tigers,” he said. “Just one of those amazing moments you never forget.”
