Mark Smith, a senior four-star point guard from Edwardsville (Ill.), is scheduled to host Michigan State head basketball coach Tom Izzo this evening for an in-home visit. 247Sports’ Chris Fisher confirmed the visit between Smith and Izzo. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Smith has scholarship offers from Illinois, Indiana, DePaul, Boston College, Ohio State, Nebraska and a few others. He’s also picked up interest from Kentucky, as his recruitment has blown up recently.
