The basketball team at Miami (Fla.) University doesn’t have a lottery pick. Michigan State does. The Hurricanes don’t have a big man with post-up moves. The Spartans do. They don’t have two McDonald’s All-Americans — though they have one, and another coming next season — or one of the best freshmen classes in college basketball. Their history isn’t dotted by trips to the Final Four, or the Spartans’ brand. What they do have is toughness. And length. And experience.
