Scouting Michigan State’s First NCAA Tournament Opponent: Miami (FL)
The Hurricanes finished the regular season at 21-11 with a 10-8 record in the ACC, good for eighth in the conference. They defeated Syracuse in the ACC Tournament before being blown out by the top-seeded North Carolina Tar Heels. Miami (FL) notched home wins over North Carolina, Duke and Virginia Tech, as well as a road victory against Virginia. Those are Miami’s only wins over teams in the NCAA Tournament, but they have lost to just one team outside of the NCAA Tournament –– a road defeat to Syracuse in the beginning of July.
