Michigan State’s best big man played just eight minutes in the first half, as it struggled to score with its highest percentage shooter mostly on the bench. Its best offensive point guard option sat for the final six minutes of the game, when Michigan State tried to get the buckets it needed down the stretch but ultimately couldn’t.
