Couch: Nick Ward ought to play more; MSU’s coaches see it differently
If you’re hoping Ward and Winston will suddenly play 30 minutes a game, know that it ain’t gonna happen unless this coaching staff believes their defensive play is up to snuff. The foundation of Izzo’s program is on that end of the court. He’s not lessening that priority. He thinks it’s vital to winning and to the culture of his program. Moreover, he and his staff see the difference between Ward and Goins as significant on the defensive end of the court.
