Propelled by a four-goal first period, the Michigan State hockey team topped 13th-ranked Ohio State, 5-4, on Friday night at Value City Arena in Columbus. Cody Milan led the Spartans with a career-high three points, while Logan Lambdin had a season-high two goals. John Lethemon made 26 saves in net for the Spartans.
