Sunday, when MSU announced that Harris would need surgery and his career at Michigan State was over, the Spartans gathered for a team meeting. Harris addressed his teammates in a “passionate” speech that was as emotional as the scene at Purdue’s Mackey Arena, where players were seen with tears in their eyes while Harris was down on the floor.
