In a brutal exhibition of self-flagellation, Michigan State recently spent an entire film session re-watching every turnover from its last five games. That’s 72, total, or 14.4 per game. The lion’s share came on Tuesday when 21 turnovers undid the Spartans in a heavy loss at rival Michigan. In a two-hour window, what was a festering issue became an overwhelming problem. Not only did MSU commit 21 turnovers, but 12 came in the first half — one in which Michigan ripped open a 55-29 lead.
