Michigan State's women's basketball team closed Sunday's game against Penn State with a 24-9 run to claim a 67-60 victory in a Big Ten opener at Bryce Jordan Arena. The Spartans (8-4, 1-0) trailed 51-43 with 9:23 remaining before going on their run to take their first road win of the season. Junior Allyssa DeHaan led MSU with 14 points, nine rebounds and three blocks. Mia Johnson and Aisha Jefferson scored 11 apiece. Brittney tied her career high with eight assists.
