Spartans kicker Brett Swenson is the reigning Big Ten special teams player of the week and Michigan State's all-time leader in consecutive field goals after hitting 15 in a row this season. Swenson earned the conference honor -- his third of the season -- after going 4-for-4 against Wisconsin on Saturday. That performance included a season-long 50-yarder and the 44-yard field goal that won the game for MSU, 25-24. He's having a banner year, yet he's not among the 20 semifinalists for the Lou Groza Award, given annually to the nation's top collegiate kicker.
