Michigan State's men's golf team is two years removed from its Fossum Invitational victory, but it goes into this weekend's tournament as defending champ. The Spartans have hosted the historic tournament every year since 1966, except three times when Forest Akers was the site for the Big Ten Championship the same weekend - like in 2008 - when MSU won its third conference title in four years.
