freep.com —  Last season, Michigan State was vocal about wanting to win the Big Ten. The talk ended when the Spartans lost at Iowa and at Penn State, teams that finished near the bottom of the conference. The Spartans finished 12-6 in the Big Ten -- 3-6 away from the Breslin Center. Coach Tom Izzo has harped on last season's Penn State loss since the day it happened, making sure to mention the role it played in taking the Spartans out of the Big Ten race. With No. 7 MSU (13-2, 3-0) headed back to State College today, Izzo has taken the opportunity to bring up the importance of quality play on the road.
