An East Lansing amateur golfer will make some Masters memories himself this week that thousands of professional golfers from around the globe can only dream of - when he tees up his ball at Augusta National. Jack Newman, 21, a junior on the Michigan State golf team, earned the highly sought-after invitation by winning the USGA Public Links Championship in Aurora, Colo., last July.
