Jack Newman, the 21-year-old junior from Michigan State, quickly got used to spotting the rich and famous. He had to as he began practicing for this week's Masters at Augusta National Golf Club, where the well-heeled and well-known are as common as pine straw. Newman punched his ticket to the tournament in July, when he won the U.S. Public Links Championship with its traditional Masters invitation. Newman had seen the Augusta course only on television before his first visit in late November with brother Dave, one of four older siblings.
