The Michigan State softball team posted two wins on day one of the Magic City Classic Saturday afternoon to even its season record at 6-6. The Spartans recorded a 10-2 win over Northern Illinois in five innings to start the day, and finished with a 13-6 victory over Samford. Sophomore Lindsey Hansen and Heidi Purtzer both tallied two home runs, and freshman Lauren Kramer recorded her first career homer to lead MSU.
