North Carolina coach Roy Williams has already coined a catchy nickname for Monday night’s NCAA title game between his Tar Heels and Michigan State. The Battle of Detroit. The Tar Heels captured the D over four months ago, when they beat MSU 98-63 at Ford Field on Dec. 3, but a hungry and healthy group of MSU players will be looking to take it back. By virtue of MSU’s win over Connecticut in the first semifinal game and UNC’s 83-69 thumping of Villanova in the second game, the rematch that the Spartans wanted will come to fruition.
