It was the longest Senior Day goodbye at Michigan State in more than 20 years, and maybe ever. After the 18th-ranked Spartans defeated Purdue, 21-7, Saturday afternoon, senior running back Javon Ringer ran over to the student cheering section in the southeast corner of Spartan Stadium and slapped every hand he could reach.
