freep.com —  Today, fresh off celebrating his team’s Big Ten regular-season championship, Spartans coach Tom Izzo shifted focus to the conference tournament and discussed what it meant to his team’s overall post-season picture. Michigan State is the tourney’s No. 1 seed, a position it hasn’t been in since 1999. “The tournament this year takes on a whole new meaning, because there are so many good teams,” Izzo said. “Six different teams could probably be in the finals and it wouldn’t surprise anybody.”
