Sept. 1 marked the first day colleges can officially offer scholarships to recruits from the class of 2011. Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio wasted little time offering two of the best prospect in Michigan: Detroit Renaissance linebacker Lawrence Thomas and Saginaw wide receiver DeAnthony Arnett. Both received their offers on Tuesday.
