The Spartans men basketball team started their season the way all the fans want their team to start: With a win at home.
In a season that is being touted as one of Michigan State's best opportunities for success and a trip to the Final Four, the 7th-ranked Spartans showed that in the season opener, they were ready for anything and everything. Since 1991, Idaho has never allowed an opponent to score 100 points or more in a game.
