The Big Ten couldn't ask for a better flag bearer than Michigan State coach Tom Izzo, who stands up for the conference at every media opportunity he can find. This week, fellow coaches could return the favor by helping him plan for Connecticut, MSU's Final Four opponent Saturday night. Izzo said he would give Michigan coach John Beilein a call to see how the Wolverines managed to stay with the then-No. 1 Huskies in Storrs, Conn., before losing, 69-61. Izzo also planned to call Purdue coach Matt Painter, who faced UConn in the Sweet 16.
