Derrick Mason, who played on Nick Saban's first MSU team in 1995, has retired from the NFL after 12 seasons. Mason was a receiver for the Baltimore Ravens and said he just did not have the enthusiasm to work out and play anymore. His good friend Steve McNair was shot to death last week and Mason spoke at the former Tennessee Titan quarterback's funeral on Sunday.
