The Spartan wrestling team has started off the season with an impressive 6-1-1 record and is unbeaten in its last six duals going into conference play this weekend. While senior and 2009 national champion Franklin Gomez remains the cornerstone of the team, David Cheza, a redshirt sophomore from Grand Blanc, has stepped up and played an important role in the Spartans' success this season.
