Tony Bucciferro picked up his first-career complete-game victory and pitched Michigan State to a 9-0 win over Southeast Missouri on Sunday in game one of a doubleheader in Starkville, Miss. In game two, the Spartans fell to Mississippi State, 14-6, giving Michigan State a 2-2 record in the BankFirst Classic. Michigan State is now 6-4 on the season.
