Forward Tim Kennedy made official Sunday what Michigan State hockey players, coaches and fans were expecting to hear all spring: He's giving up his senior year with the Spartans to begin his pro career with the NHL's Buffalo Sabres. Kennedy, MSU's top scorer in each of the last two seasons, signed a two-year entry-level contract with his hometown team. Kennedy is from South Buffalo.
