Of all the wins they've needed this season, this might well have been the biggest and most-needed: The MSU Spartan women took down the Minnesota Gophers 56-51 Friday night in the quarter-finals of the Big Ten Tournament (after losing to them twice during the regular season). And in more good news: No. 9 Illinois beat No. 1 Ohio earlier today, leaving the Spartans facing Illinois in the semi-finals at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Whoo hoo!
