Detroit Pershing junior Derrick Nix has verbally committed to play at Michigan State, according to his AAU coach Durand Walker. Nix battled Saginaw's Draymond Green, also MSU bound, in the Class A final in East Lansing. Saginaw won the championship, 90-71, on March 15.
