Michigan State coach Tom Izzo tried to go into hibernation after Saturday's 43-36 defeat at Iowa, refusing to watch, read or listen to any discussion of the embarrassing loss. Even his wife, Lupe, and daughter, Raquel, were prohibited from talking about the game. But Izzo discovered quickly that he couldn't shield himself completely from outside criticism.
