Every time someone asks Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio about replacing NFL wide receiver Devin Thomas, he laughs at the irony of the question. After all, no one was asking him about Thomas this time last year. "I don't think there was one question about Devin," Dantonio said. "Not one. The guy came into the fall camp as a guy who didn't catch a pass in the spring. He was average ... but he had an outstanding fall camp and transitioned himself into a phenomenal player. So I think it can happen for others."
