After a brief lull, Michigan State is back as a national contender. Coming off a seventh-place finish in the Big Ten and two straight seasons without getting out of the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament, the Spartans nonetheless enjoyed their off-season. That's because they stayed relatively healthy, welcomed a celebrated group of perimeter freshmen to campus and got some national love for the last decade of Michigan State basketball.
