With seven home games, and a game they should win against Florida Atlantic in Detroit, the Spartans find themselves in good position to improve on last season's results. However, a Big Ten title appears to be out of reach. They do avoid Ohio State, but it must travel to Michigan, Iowa and Penn State. An Oct. 2 home game with Wisconsin will be no picnic either.
