Among family, friends and alumni, the Spartans recognized the 2014 senior class and presented the annual awards to outstanding members of the team.

The men's team defeated Grand Valley, 149-55, and Denison, 155.5-49.5. On the women's side, MSU defeated Denison, 137-68, and beat Grand Valley, 145-59. The Spartans finished the day with winners in 16 of the 22 events.

Swimming & Diving msuspartans.com —  Michigan State swimming and diving 2014 Senior Day for was all but normal on Saturday, Jan. 25, as an intra-squad meet was held due to Denison University unable to travel to East Lansing for the regularly scheduled dual meet due to inclement weather. Instead, the afternoon was used to motivate the team as they were given the opportunity to push themselves to season-best times and earn a Monday morning practice off. The meet was capped off by the women’s 200 freestyle relay team of Summer Strickler, Brooke Telander, Sarah Love and Emily Parsons that broke the pool record.

The women's team bounced back after last week's loss to win 163 to 135, while the men's 154.5-143.5 win was backed by outstanding 400 freestyle relay performances that earned the Spartans first and third-place points to seal the co-ed dual victory for MSU.
