The Michigan State baseball team opens the 2012 season this weekend at the fourth annual Big Ten/Big East Challenge. Opening Day is set for Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. as the Spartans take on Big East favorite and 11th-ranked St. John's at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium in Dunedin, Fla. MSU will then face South Florida Saturday at 1 p.m. in Clearwater, Fla., followed by a 10 a.m. matchup on Sunday against No. 15 Louisville in St. Petersburg, Fla.
