This will be no ordinary competition as the MSU wrestling team and MSU gymnastics team will be competing at the same time. "Tumbles and Take Downs," as the MSU Athletic Department is calling it, will take place at 7 p.m. on Jan. 15. at Jenison Field House. The Spartans’ schedule also pits MSU against gymnastics powerhouses Boise State and Arizona. The team will be coming off of finishing 26th in the country in the final GymInfo poll and seventh in the Big Ten. The Spartans also finished fourth last year in the NCAA Ames Regional.

"We had a season full of adversity and this team stepped up to meet each and every challenge," said head coach Kathie Klages. "I am very proud of how we not only persevered, but succeeded and finished the season ranked No. 26 in the nation, 13 places higher than last year. A job well done! The team committed to make a positive change in the program and it was definitely seen throughout the entire season. This is a season to remember!"
