The Wildcats enter the week at 13-10 overall and are 3-7 in Big Ten play. Northwestern has three players averaging over 13 points and six rebounds a game - Kendall Hackney (15.1, 6.4), Morgan Jones (15.0, 6.0) and Dannielle Diamant (13.8, 6.5), but are not very deep as only one other player is averaging above four points. Freshman Karly Roser leads all freshmen nationally and is third in the Big Ten with 5.5 assists a game.

A quick glance at the Spartans’ February schedule reveals a very busy month. Two separate 3-game weeks, three big road dates, and the Spartans’ top Basketball rival coming to Breslin Center next Thursday night make for a very hectic pace. With all that jammed into the year’s shortest month, one might assume it could make it easier for a team to follow the old adage of taking it “one game at a time.” Tom Izzo is not so sure.

Today, the Wall Street Journal came out with a list of schools whose basketball alumni have made the most money in professional basketball. The list includes players who entered the NBA in or after 1985 — the year the NCAA Tournament expanded to 64 teams. Only two Big Ten teams made the top 25: Michigan at No. 5 and MSU at No. 14. Not a surprise that UNC and Duke were Nos. 1 and 2.
