The Spartans will face a ranked opponent for the seventh consecutive dual match. Following the dual the Spartans will have two weeks to prepare for the Big Ten Championships in West Lafayette, Ind.

No. 20 Edinboro defeated the Spartan wrestling team, 18-15, Friday night at McComb Field House. With the dual tied at 15, Edinboro's Ernest James recorded a takedown against Mike McClure at heavyweight with just 15 seconds remaining to secure the 3-1 win and the dual victory, 18-15.

Heading into intermission Michigan (6-3, 4-2 Big Ten) lead 9-6 over the Spartans (3-8, 1-6 Big Ten). The Wolverines won four of the final five matches to claim the dual victory.

The Michigan State wrestling team fell to seventh-ranked Nebraska, 27-8, Friday night at Jenison Field House. Eric Olanowski began the dual with a dominating 15-0 technical fall victory at 125 pounds, and the Spartans led 8-7 after four matches following Dan Osterman's win in the 149 weight class, but Nebraska won the final six matches of the dual to claim the victory. Four of the 10 matches were decided by just one point.
