Eric Olanowski began the dual with a dominating 15-0 technical fall victory at 125 pounds, and the Spartans led 8-7 after four matches following Dan Osterman's win in the 149 weight class, but Nebraska won the final six matches of the dual to claim the victory. Four of the 10 matches were decided by just one point.
