“Alan [Anderson] has been big time,” Raptors head coach Dwane Casey said. “He is our voice of reason right now. A veteran guy, he’s hungry. The young man has been to China, Europe, got cut, his back is against the wall, so that is why I like him. He is an underdog and he plays like an underdog. Seth Davis of Sports Illustrated listed which teams in college basketball he rates as Buy, Hold or Sell.
The Spartans get listed as a sell with the thought that the Spartans are being viewed through the lens of past reputation rather than current performance. Keith Appling playing out of position at the point, Adreian Payne's inconsistency and the turnover problems are all listed as rationale for Davis' listing.
Davis does throw in the caveat that the Spartans may be under valued when March rolls around based on Izzo's ability to get teams ready to play at tournament time.

"Despite missing nearly three full games (with an ankle injury), Dion Sims still earned second-team All-Big Ten honors, so that says something about his production,'' Dantonio said in a school release. "He's a big target with great hands. With his combination of size and power, Dion is difficult to bring down, so he gains lots of yards after the catch.''

Sims praised the Michigan State coaching staff and said he believes good things are ahead for the Spartans despite the defections of himself, tailback Le'Veon Bell, and apparently defensive end William Gholston. Coach D has a solid nucleus of players returning, plus he'll bring in a talented recruiting class."
