Last week, before the then-No. 11 MSU men’s basketball team beat then-No. 3 Ohio State 58-48 head coach, Tom Izzo spent some time talking with senior guard Brandon Wood. Less then a week before that, Izzo put Wood in a reserve role against Michigan for the first time since he transfered from Valparaiso. Wood responded with a solid performance, but after he didn’t start the next game — a win over Penn State — Izzo said he thought Wood was a little discouraged.
