Powers, who graduated in May with a 3.86 GPA in elementary education, is now eligible to earn Academic All-America honors.

Powers, the 2013 Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Year, won the tournament by two strokes. The 2013 U.S. Women's Open will take place June 27-30 at the Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y.
