Sophomore Codi Mattix recorded a career-best leap in the men's pole vault to become just the fourth Spartan to advance to the NCAA Championships in two weeks. The Michigan State track & field team concluded its busy weekend today (April 30) with members of its team at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa and at the Lyle Bennett Open in Mount Pleasant, Mich. On the day at both competitions, the Spartans recorded 40 top-5 finishes as a team. Winning the triple jump at the Drake Relays was Ashley Stacey with a leap of 12.48m.
