Although the Spartans (4-5) limited the Aggies (10-1) to just five hits, they couldn't get on the scoreboard against All-American Ross Stripling, who struck out five and scattered five hits in eight innings of work. Stripling, a ninth-round MLB draft pick last June, led the nation in 2011 with 14 wins and improved to 2-0 this season.
