The Badgers currently sit 8th in the USCHO poll and are 2nd in the B1G standings. Last weekend the Badgers went on the road and earned a series split with Ohio State by winning 4-2 Saturday, after losing 2-1 on Saturday night.

Hildebrand recorded 53 saves and posted a .946 save percentage to help the Spartans claim five of six points from Penn State last weekend.

In his first action of the 2014 Olympic Games, Miller made 17 saves in helping the United States top Slovenia, 5-1. Later on in the day, Keith helped Canada slip past Finland, 2-1, in overtime.

Miller saw only 18 shots as the USA closed out preliminary play in the Sochi Games men's hockey tournament, but he was strong when needed in the first period, and notched another Olympic victory with a 5-1 win over Slovenia Sunday at Shayba Arena.

The team recorded its first road win of the season Saturday, coming from behind to beat Penn State, 2-1, at Pegula Ice Arena in University Park, Pa. MSU (9-13-7 overall, 3-5-6-4 Big Ten) was held to a season-low 13 shots in the game, but was able to capitalize on a few fluke bounces, with junior forward Matt Berry scoring the game-winning goal with 5:04 left in the third period.

Joe Cox and Matt Berry each had a goal and an assist as the Michigan State hockey team topped Penn State, 2-1, on Saturday afternoon at Pegula Ice Arena in University Park, Pa. Berry broke a 1-1 tie with 5:04 to play in the third when he batted home a rebound to put MSU in front for good, 2-1.

Keith's Canadian squad is now 2-0 after a 6-0 shutout win over Austria, while Miller's USA squad topped Russia, 3-2, in shootout fashion on Saturday to also improve to 2-0 in the preliminary round.

Friday was the fourth time in the last five games that MSU went to a shootout to determine the additional point in Big Ten standings.

The Michigan State hockey team played Penn State to a 2-2 tie on Friday night at Pegula Ice Arena in University Park, Pa. The Spartans won the shootout though, 1-0, to claim the extra point in the Big Ten standings. It marked the third consecutive 2-2 tie for MSU, which is now 8-13-7 overall and 2-5-6-4 in the Big Ten. Penn State is 5-18-2 overall and 1-9-1-0 in the league.
