Mr. Nix has been a project since he set foot on campus. He possessed the raw skills that any coach would desire, but he needed a hard core conditioning program and a ton of patience, which most coaches don’t desire to work with. The end result has been a player that has the ability to dominate the game from the paint with a mixture of quick feet and soft hands that don’t seem to fit with a man of his size(6’9″ 270lbs)

Delvon Roe had a chance Friday at a rare and distinguished achievement — becoming just the second MSU player with multiple championships in the world-renowned Lansing State Journal Quiz Bowl. For the few who don’t know, the Quiz Bowl is a trivia tussle between two players from an MSU basketball program that actually cares about the student part of the term “student athlete.” After taking care of Mike Kebler with a 6-5 win a year ago, Roe said: “I look forward to defending my title.”
