Football michiganstate.247sports.com —  “The next class is going to step up and take over,” Darien Harris said. “Everything here is a process and it’s about progression. We made another step this year. It will be up to the class behind us to take over.” Harris’ class set the new high mark for wins at Michigan State, leaving with 43 - including two Big Ten Championship Games, a Rose Bowl and a Cotton Bowl - but next year’s senior class will be set up to leave with even more wins. They will enter next season already with 36, needing just eight to surpass the record in 2016.

Football theonlycolors.com —  The clock marched towards 0:00's in all too slow a cadence and the Bama fans in our section started saying all the right things. "Y'all had a good season." "Hey, you guys were still Big Ten Champs." "This was a dream season for you guys." The fans were saying these words with all of the sincerity they could muster, but, the words were hollow. Not because they were meant in a condescending way, but because Alabama fans know this disappointment. After all they were in these shoes a scant 364 days ago. Men's Basketball detroitnews.com —  Michigan State learned a bit about itself in Saturday's victory over Minnesota. It was the third straight game without guard Denzel Valentine and the second win. But the emergence of the Spartans' big men was the real eye-opener. Matt Costello, Deyonta Davis and Gavin Schilling combined for 35 of Michigan State's 69 points and while each was effective, it's becoming a trend for Costello.
