The Dinah Shore Trophy Award, which is administered by the LPGA Foundation, recognizes a female collegiate golfer who excels in both academics and athletics.

The Spartans posted their best-ever finish at the NCAA Championships by tying for ninth place, surpassing their 12th-place finish in 2002. Christine Meier led the way, tying for sixth place to equal the best finish by a Spartan at the NCAA Championships.

Meier's round of 69 was not only a personal best, but also tied an MSU single-round record at the NCAA Championships.
