The Spartans closed out their doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 18 with a match against the Dayton. Earlier in the day MSU picked up a 6-1 victory over Western Michigan while dropping only one singles match. MSU continued its dominate play in the second match of the day coming away with another 6-1 win over the Flyers.

The Spartans started off the day taking on Western Michigan and picked up the easy 6-1 victory. MSU started off strong, winning the double point and then went on to take five out of the six singles matchups.

The Spartans look to bounce back this weekend while traveling to Knoxville, Tenn. to take on the No. 24 Volunteers. The Michigan State men's tennis team traveled to Indianapolis for their first road matches of the season, taking on No. 7 Kentucky and IUPUI in back-to-back duals on Sunday. In the opening round of play MSU fell in a hard-fought effort to the Wildcats, 6-1. But later that evening they quickly bounced back to sweep the Jaguars 7-0.
