Drew Neitzel is on the last leg of the NBA Legends Tour in China that has proved pretty interesting.
The tour, a seven-city, eight-game exhibition series that began in late April, has mostly been a lovefest for Allen Iverson. Others on the team include Clyde Drexler, Shawn Kemp and Dennis Rodman, along with Neitzel, who played this season with Dallas in the NBA-D League. read more »

This season, the Pistons could yet again take on another Spartans star, Draymond Green, who, like Cleaves and Kelser, is among the greats at Michigan State. Although Green never won a national title like Cleaves and Kelser, he did go to two Final Fours and appeared in the 2009 championship game.

Before he capped the festivities with CBS sportscaster Greg Gumbel at Addison Reserve in Delray Beach last Sunday night, Michigan State University men's basketball coach Tom Izzo was asked how he felt about being the 2012 Sports Legends honoree. "It's an honor to be honored," said Izzo, who recently finished his 17th season as the Spartans' coach and 29th year overall with the university. "A great tribute."

Yes, Tom Izzo saw the Heat's pseudo-meltdown at the end on Sunday. At least the man who has taken Michigan State to six Final Fours caught the highlights of that Game 4 loss to the Knicks. "Thought it was a weird game," Izzo said Monday morning at Addison Reserve Country Club. "I thought for the most part that the Heat would get 'em."

Linebackers Shane Jones and Jon Reschke have been nominated for selection to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl after verbally committing to Michigan State. The two members of the Spartans' 2013 recruiting class were among the top 400 high school seniors to be nominated to play in the Jan. 5, 2013 game in San Antonio.

Julius Mays is looking to play for a third college basketball team. And, according to reports, the Wright State junior transfer is eying Michigan State, along with other programs.
