The Michigan State men's tennis team (13-8, 2-3) faced off against Indiana Saturday (March 31) at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility. The Spartans were victorious with a 5-2 win over the Hoosiers. MSU started off the day winning the doubles point then carried that momentum into singles action taking four out of the six matches. This is MSU's second-straight Big Ten win after defeating Wisconsin, 6-1, last weekend.

This weekend the Spartans continue conference play with two scheduled Big Ten matches against Indiana and Purdue. This was the first conference win for the Spartans which brings their conference record to 1-3 and ends their two game losing streak. The Michigan State men's tennis team traveled to Minnesota this weekend to take on the No. 44 ranked Gophers in their second straight match against ranked Big Ten opponents. The Spartans came up short against the Gophers falling 7-0 on the road. MSU was able to win one doubles match along with taking four of the singles matches into three sets but were never able to gain a point.

They travel to Minneapolis, Minn. on Friday to take on the Golden Gophers at 7:30 p.m. at the Baseline Tennis Center. From there they continue on to Madison, Wis. to face the Badgers on Sunday at 1 p.m. inside the Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The Spartans will face Big Ten competition for the remainder of the season in which they look to improve on their 0-2 conference record.
